Sanity
reduce the feelings of loneliness and isolation. This will help you will more at home and familiar in a meeting.
Explain the meaning and idea behind step one:
Step one is admitting to our inner selves that the drugs and or alcohol became bigger than us. And now have power over us. Meaning even with all the willpower at our disposal, it is not possible to stop without the help of others.
Day 124: Set Healthy Boundaries
Appropriate boundaries can help us protect and preserve our individuality and integrity. They help us keep our self-esteem intact.
Action
We must set some boundaries in order to stay sober. Most people respect our boundaries if they know what they are. We may set boundaries with others by saying that we will not go to parties where alcohol is served. We will not skip school or work. We will not ride in cars with people that may use alcohol or other drugs because we can’t take the risk. We will not wear certain clothes or act a certain way just to be like the popular crowd. We must be true to who we are and what is important to us.
If you have trouble saying no, or you change yourself to please others, you may need to set some boundaries today to protect your integrity and your sobriety.
Thought for the Day
Sometimes we must say no to a hundred questionable things so that we can say yes to one truly good thing.
