First Things First
“First Things First” means that if we don’t stay sober, nothing else will matter. We must put aside our desires and attend to recovery first.
Action
“First Things First” means that we must practice the discipline to put aside all the things we would really like to do, in order to do the things we MUST do, like going to meetings. It’s hard at first, but we have so much to gain by working the program. We get the chance to find peace, improve our relationships, and reach our goals.
Our first commitment must be sobriety. This means being prepared to make whatever hard decisions are necessary in order to stay clean and sober at least for today. Are you putting your recovery first today?
Thought for the Day
